The auger motor is the power source of the pellet grill. It is responsible for connecting the auger, which feeds the wood pellets from the hopper through the feed tube into the fire pot. DESE’s auger motor has been tested and inspected multiple times and has a longer service life than the common pellet stove auger motors on the market.
How to replace the grill auger motor in a pellet grill?
You need a disassembly tool such as a Phillips screwdriver. Disconnect the power and disassemble the panel or cover of the grill. Then stack the materials to one side of the cover. Remove the connector controller and remove the screws and cables that fix the auger motor. Pull out the motor and find the drill pin.
Precautions when replacing the auger motor
1. When disconnecting the power, you need to turn off any connected gas valves at the same time.
2. When disassembling the connector, grab the plastic head instead of the wire and carefully unplug it.
3. When disassembling the motor, you need to remove the fixing screws first. The motor can rotate and move in and out freely. If the auger is stuck in place, you need to pull out and clean the blocked pellets or wood chips first.
4. When disassembling or connecting cables, try to avoid the cables being close to the fan of the propeller motor.
